Industrial Temperature Controllers
There are different types of temperature controllers. These include proportional, on-off, and
PID controllers. The proportional controls are designed in a way that the need for the on and
off cycle is done away with. The controller lowers the average power sent to the heater when the
temperature nears the set level. The on and off controller is the most basic type. The output is
either or off, and there is no mid-way. The PID controller type offers proportional along with
integral and derivate control and hence the name. There are two additional adjustments with
proportional control that compensate for any changes in the system.
As temperature controllers are placed inside an internal panel, they must be cut to
include the temperature controller. To enable interchangeability between the controllers, a
large number of them come designed to meet the standard size of DIN.
